Environmental Stewardship
We measure and minimise our environmental impact whilst contributing to active conservation projects. Every tour includes habitat restoration activities and supports local environmental initiatives.
Founded in Kilkenny in 2019, EduPortalQX emerged from a simple belief: that travel should enrich both the traveller and the destination. We've built Ireland's most trusted eco-tourism company by partnering with local communities and prioritising environmental stewardship in every adventure we create.
Discover Our Impact →EduPortalQX began when our founder, a Kilkenny native and environmental scientist, witnessed the disconnect between traditional tourism and conservation needs across rural Ireland. Too many visitors were missing the authentic stories of our landscapes whilst local communities struggled to benefit from tourism revenue.
We started small, partnering with three farming families in County Kilkenny to create immersive experiences that showcased traditional Irish land management alongside modern conservation practices. Our first tours combined hiking through ancient woodlands with hands-on participation in reforestation projects.
Today, we've expanded across Ireland whilst maintaining our core values: small group sizes, deep community partnerships, and measurable environmental impact. Every tour contributes directly to conservation projects, from coastal habitat restoration to traditional woodland management.
These principles guide every decision we make, from route planning to community partnerships.

Local communities are our partners, not destinations. We ensure tourism revenue directly benefits Irish families through fair partnerships and collaborative programme development.
We create genuine relationships between travellers and Ireland's natural heritage through immersive experiences that go beyond typical sightseeing.
Small group sizes, careful site selection, and seasonal planning ensure our presence enhances rather than disrupts the delicate ecosystems we explore.
Every adventure includes expert interpretation of Ireland's ecology, geology, and cultural heritage, creating informed ambassadors for conservation.
Our local conservation work contributes to global environmental goals whilst demonstrating how responsible tourism can drive positive change.
